Ski holidays in the Salzburger Land - the "slow version" of skiing in Grossarl

Many who come to us in Grossarl to ski in winter have their own ideas of fun. Many enthusiastically take the plunge every day into the hustle and bustle of the ski circus. Which is not surprising. After all, the Salzburg ski areas around Grossarl, Ski amadé and the ski area Großarl Valley - Gastein Valley, with their comfortable cable cars, offer the most beautiful slopes.

As a "slow option" for classic skiing, cross-country skiing is booming - one of the most enjoyable ways of experiencing the snowy winter landscape on a skiing holiday in the Salzburger Land first hand. 15 miles of cross-country trails await you - in classic style and most of them with a skating track as well. When cross-country skiing, you're one with nature - and with yourself. The morning is the best time to get into the freshly groomed trail, take a deep breath and set out, just as you like it. But you can set out any time of the day, or even after downhill skiing. Some trail sections are even lit daily until 8:30 pm - something that really needs to be experienced!

Ski holidays in the Salzburger Land: Grossarl is not only great for downhill skiing - it is an excellent location for cross-country skiing as well!

The Alpenhof is right on the Großarl trail. Just strap on your skis, get in, and off you go. The Grossarl trail leads you to the heritage site "Kösslerhäusl" and then, after a short walk, through the Großarl Valley and to Hüttschlag. The beauty continue on the run on the Hüttschlag trail to the silence of end of the valley.
